About Me

I’ve always had a passion for DIY and delivering excellent customer service.

I'm not a specialist tradesman, but rather someone with lots of general practical know how and plenty of common sense. I will consider most jobs, however, if I agree to take on a job and then feel that there are specific skills needed that I don't have then I will say so, and you will not be charged.

Customer satisfaction and word of mouth recommendation is essential to my business. Moreover, it gives me a sense of satisfaction to see my customers smiling knowing that I've done a good job.  That’s why I’m committed  to ensure that my customers receive good value for money and quality results.

Many jobs don't fall into a clear trade or category, or they may require various skills which would typically need the attentions of more than one trade. Here my experience in a variety of areas can save you money and inconvenience.

Background

A qualified chartered surveyor, I also run Mountain-Skills, which provides mountaineering courses and guiding both here in the UK and abroad. My outdoor qualifications include both the Mountain Leader Summer and Winter Awards and the Single Pitch Award for rock climbing. I hold  a current outdoor first aid certificate and am a former member of my local mountain rescue team - the Ashburton Team of the Dartmoor Rescue Group.

In addition I also hold a Class 1 Articulated lorry driving licence. I’ve always enjoyed seeing new places and that’s why, when I’m not out ‘on the road’, you’ll find me on the hills and mountains of the World. In fact, I believe I’m the only LGV driver to have climbed Mount Everest!

Actions Speak Louder

It is an immutable law in business that words are words, explanations are explanations, promises are promises - but only performance is reality.
